Mossley was originally built as a local authority housing estate in the 1950s. Since then some properties have been purchased by residents and the council’s remaining housing stock has been transferred to social landlords and housing associations. The area has a strong local identity, recognised as a distinct community by local residents.
Through working towards our Big Local plan we've recognised that as community people we...
- fulfill important roles in the community, which are rich and varied
- have many skills and talents, which when linked to others are very powerful
- have extensive connections so we can link people and ideas
- are passionate about a range of issues which drive us to get involved.
