CloseThe aim of the event is to share and build knowledge and skills in involving and engaging young people through Big Local.
There are three related aspects to this:
It is for people in Big Local areas who want to:
The event is taking place in St Martin’s Church community hall. This is a new community hub facility funded through Allenton Big Local and partners and offers a fantastic location to show how Big Local groups can fund sizeable community facility development.
We will also run a roving reporter team of a few young people to record and report on the day. Guided by Jane Bettany, the team will interview, write short stories, create printed and social media news on the day itself.
After the main part of the day has ended, there are a few spaces for people to stay on for an early evening session with youth workers and young people from the Enthusiasm Trust.
(NB: There is also a chance to stay on for a couple of hours to talk about youth work and join a session with young people and Enthusiasm staff)
