Nicola Pollock
Nicola has been Director of the John Ellerman Foundation since 2011. The Foundation an independent, endowed grantmaking trust which makes grants in three areas–arts, environment and welfare–where she works with trustees to develop the strategic direction of the Foundation and advises them on governance and grantmaking. Before joining the Foundation she was Director of Grantmaking at the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation, where earlier she also led on establishing the Social Change programme. Nicola has a background in advice work, having worked for local Citizens Advice Bureaux in London, the national information team, and has setup a regional money advice service for the North East. When living in Gateshead she also worked for the (then) National Lottery Charities Board. She is Chair of the Centre for Innovation in Voluntary Action.
